Community Talk on Urban Farming and Marketing

Urban Farmer Eliza Boudreau of East Village Farm will share her experience homesteading on her .23 acres of land in the center of downtown Johnson. Eliza and her Farmettes (daughters) have raised chickens, rabbits, ducks, quail, and goats and have developed second markets for their goat's milk by making delicious goat's milk caramels, and other treats. Eliza will talk about her experiences in marketing and promoting her products, about bartering and creating a sustainable, hyper-local supply of food for her family and about how best to efficiently use her land and the experience and advice of homesteaders all over the world.
