Point of Sale System Administrator
30-40 hours/week

Responsibilities
Manage the store’s Point of Sale system:

  •  enter new inventory items into the POS system
  •  update and maintain integrity of existing items in system
  •  ensure that item prices are accurate and up to date
  •  regularly evaluate store margins and make adjustments as necessary
  • Manage monthly sales program:
  •  create sales worksheets
  •  produce sales tags
  •  produce sales fliers and other promotional materials

Provide support for inventory purchasing and management:

  •  manage purchase orders
  •  produce sales and item movement reports
  •  enter invoices and credit memos
  •  oversee regular inventory counts and adjustments

Maintain Integrity and functionality of POS system:

  •  perform regular system updates
  •  troubleshoot problems with POS system and related peripherals
  •  communicate with system vendor support as necessary

Provide support for other store operations:

  •  provide back-up for front-end staff as necessary
  •  assist with regular store maintenance

Experience/Skills

  •  experience with retail point of sales systems (familiarity with ECRS/Catapult a plus)
  •  excellent organizational skills and an attention to details
  •  excellent customer service skills
  •  ability to work independently and as part of a team
  •  comfortable working in a fast-paced, hectic environment
  •  knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel a plus

Full Time Produce and Front End Person

Morrisville Food Coop (MoCo) is seeking a new full-time employee to tend our produce department and occasionally fill in at the front end. 

Approximately 30 hours a week working in the produce department.
Up to 10 hours a week working as a cashier/stocker.

Responsibilities:

• Oversight and management of the produce department including:

  • Regularly stock and maintain all produce to keep the produce section abundant, fresh and appealing.
    Purchase produce with an emphasis on local sources and organic.
    Maintain existing produce vendor accounts and establish new ones as necessary.
    Keep daily shrinkage logs and conduct regular inventory counts.
    Train staff in proper produce handling and stocking techniques.
    Provide excellent customer service.


• Store-wide general assistance:

  • Operate the POS system and perform customer sales.
    Assist with receiving and stocking of inventory.
    Conduct fronting and facing of store products.
    Provide excellent customer service.
    Assist with regular routine store maintenance.


Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of vegetables and fruit.
    Experience working with produce in a retail environment. 
    Experience with inventory management and purchasing in a retail environment.
    Excellent customer service skills.
    Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
    Excellent organizational skills.
    Experience using a POS system desirable.
